Anthon established a machine factory and steel foundry in Flensburg, North Germany in 1865 for the manufacture of barrel-making machines and have developed into one of the leading world suppliers of panel sawing machinery, not only for wood based panels but also for plaster and fibreboards, plastic sheeting, PCB, insulating materials and for aluminium sheeting. With modern production and assembly facilities Anthon produce and ship world wide panel sizing and conveying equipment designed to individual requirements and processes up to complete CNC control.

Barrel making machinery is still made and supplied to the wine and spirits industries but with highly automated equipment based on time honoured 19th Century methods
